Dear Brother and Sister I again attempt wrighting to you to inform you
that we are all in good health at this time thease to finde you and
yours in the same state of helth. Wev have nothing veary strange to
wright. Your friends and relations in this country are all well at this
time as fair as I
no. Old Uncle THOMAS HARGIS leag is
veary bad yet. Aunt POLLY BURCH is living with Uncle Thomas. I have
seen your letter sent to ELIZABETH HARGIS and was glad to hear from you
all. We have six children, 3 boys ad 3 girls. Uncle
SHADRACK has but two both girls NANCY & SUSAN. All of Uncle NATHAN'S
children is married but JAMES
and LENARD. Old Aunt BETSY is well and lives in a house near old Uncle
THOMAS HARGIS. Uncle NATHAN lives with his daughter since his wife got
burned to death. I am living on the place where old Richard Lyon lived.
T.V. HARGIS nor THOMAS - has not returned
nor sirten news of them. JESSE HARGIS and your mother and family was
all well on Friday last. Crops of corn was veary good this year and
worth $1.00 ----------
------------------. Old Uncle RICHARD JACOBS died in August last. Old
Mr. FARMER in September. A great many other deaths but none of your
relations.
A bundance of young people married latterly. I heard from Aunt SALLY
WAGLY last week by Mr. ELIJAH EVANS. She still lives in Burk County
with hir youngest child. I should be very glad to see you and family
move so ---------------- in the
neighbor hood where you live but in my
situation I doo not no wheather it will ever be the case or not. It
appears that you have all forgoten me I think veary hard at
times and considdo myself slighted. I wish you to give my love and
respects to all my friends andrelations that is in your
reach. If I could fall upon any plan to git there I would undoubtly
come. I have got a eepenceive family and a bad chance to suport them
and wish you to write me as soon as you get this letter write without
fail. There was a man hung in this county
on the 14th of this month for murdering his brother in law. His name
was Boles.
His trial was moved from Orange Co. and the man's name was Robert Dickey
that he stabd.
