1886.This deed made this 21st day of October 1876 between
Wm R. Hopkins, Sallie Ann his wife and
Wm H. Chapman of the first part and
T.C.Blackard trustee for the benefit
of Mary E. Blackard and the heirs of her
body of the second part.Witnesth that whereas the said
Wm H. Chapman purcased of the said
Wm R. Hopkins and Sallie Ann his wife
on the 23rd of March 1874 their interest
it being one third in 121 acres heird
by said Sallie Ann the wife of said
Wm R. Hopkins from her father and
executed his bond for the purchase
money and the said bond having
been satisfied the said Wm R. Hopkins
and Sallie make this right directly to
T.C. Blackard trustee for Mary E.Blackard
and her heirs aforesaid.Now therefore in consideration of the
sum of $40 the said parties of the first
part doth grant unto the party of the
second part with general warranty
34-3/4 acres & one third of 104 acres __
same more or less it being their inter-
est in 104 acres of which his wife
inherited from her fathers estate
also with special warranty one other
undivided thierd in a 17 acre tract
lying in teh county of Patrick on the
waters of Mathews Creek.Witness the following signatures and said

October 21st 1876.The foregoing deed was presented
and acknowledged by William
R. Hopkins and Sallie Ann his wife
and Wm H. Chapman to be their act
and deed and the said Sallie
Ann examined by me privately and

to her acknowledged that she had
willingly executed the same and
does not wish to retract it
