NC genealogist, Louise Fuller, found our Charles Blackard I on two different Granville county tax list transcriptions from the year 1757.

Thos.Blanchit in the same area."
Today I found another transcription of those records and important new information.
There are THREE lists that name Charles Blackard in Granville in 1757,
so I don't think there can be any doubt about the fact that he was here.
