Note: He must have moved to Granville Co., NC late 1751 or early 1752. He bought
three sections of land about then. He and his brother Joseph Person served in
the North Carolina militia during the French & Indian War. His Uncle, Col. William
Person, was one of the regimental officers. Two of his brothers, Joseph and
Jesse, and a number of cousins also established homes in the vicinity.
