"Major John Alston value the said acer of land according to law and further ordered that the forementioned person appraise the appurtenances of the old mill for use of the orphans or Robert Blanchard, deceased and make return of there proceeding at the next court." (the land was in Chowan Co. on Beaver Dam Swamp where Robert Blanchard had built a mill.)
